The Story:

Junction was formed in my basement in Waynesboro, Pennsylvania in 1989. Gregg (guitar & vocals) and I knew each other as children and played in many proto-bands in junior high. We reunited in college where we met Garrett Rothman and added him on bass. Garrett introduced us to the central PA hardcore scene and we were off and running.

We recorded our first 7" with Significant Records, a split with New Jersey band Separate Peace featuring the songs, "Saturation" and "Transit"". By the time the record came out we had moved to State College, PA and added our biggest fan at the time, Vanessa Downing on lead vocals.

Later we recorded the Falling & Laughing EP again for Significant, featuring three songs sung by Vanessa. And finally the Swingset EP for Redemption Records. We did a couple of crazy east-coast, mid-west US tours and played what seemed like hundreds of regional shows from Morgantown, West Virginia to New York City, and Washington DC over the years.

Improvisation I
Improvisation II
These improvisations are from an early practice. Like many bands, we would just get together and start playing, and out of this we would find parts we like and make a much shorter condensed, actual song.
